Wirbel Zwirbel Play Café

Wirbel Zwirbel was designed as a magical woodland world inspired by the idea of a hidden fox den deep in the forest. From the moment children enter, they step into an immersive environment where imagination, movement, and discovery come together.

At the heart of the space stands a large sculptural tree, marking the entrance to the elevated mezzanine and inviting young explorers to climb, slide, and create their own adventures. The upper level features an active obstacle course with rope elements and a V-shaped rope bridge that encourages balance, confidence, and motor skills development.

For the youngest visitors, we created a soft-play “fox hole” area designed for babies aged 0–18 months. With gentle textures, playful shapes, and sensory elements, it offers a safe environment for early exploration while allowing parents to stay closely connected.

Natural colours, warm wood textures, and forest-inspired forms run throughout the space, creating a calming yet playful atmosphere. Built with eco-friendly and child-safe materials, Wirbel Zwirbel is a community play café designed to be durable, welcoming, and full of joy — already tested and loved by many little adventurers.

The project has been developed in accordance with EN 1176 playground safety standards and all relevant EU and Swiss safety regulations, and has received certification confirming compliant implementation following installation.
