Sensory Island – A Unique 750m² Inclusive Play & Therapy Space in New York

Sensory Island is a non-profit organisation dedicated to creating an inclusive environment for all children, with and without special needs. Spanning over 750m² (8,072 sq ft), this one-of-a-kind space offers a variety of immersive areas designed to support development, creativity, and fun.

Children can explore an interactive motor skills room featuring a zip line, slides, and pretend play areas, engage with interactive toys, or dive into the slime room for a truly tactile experience. Specialised sensory spaces provide visual and tactile stimulation, while dedicated therapy and fitness zones support physical and cognitive development. The centre also includes an activities of daily living (ADL) area to help children build essential life skills.

Families can enjoy a visit to the on-site shop and café, and celebrations come to life in the large party den. Sensory Island is more than just a play space—it’s a supportive, engaging, and inclusive world where every child can thrive.
