When we first met Liv and Neil, the owners of The Family Nook, we instantly fell in love with the idea of community they were trying to create. The Family Nook is so much more than a play space, it is a welcoming hub designed to support both children and parents.

Born from personal experience, Liv and Neil wanted to create a space where children could play safely and confidently, while adults could enjoy wholesome food, good coffee and a real sense of community. They came to us to help bring that vision to life through both the design and build of the play space, creating an environment that felt thoughtful, engaging and truly unique for local families.

Designed for children aged 0–6 years, every part of The Family Nook has been thoughtfully created to encourage play, learning and connection. From the role play supermarket and café, where children can explore different foods and learn about healthy choices, to cosy reading corners and active play areas, every detail has been carefully considered with both purpose and joy in mind.

The space encourages children to build confidence, creativity and healthy habits through play, while also developing coordination, dexterity and balance through age appropriate toys and activities. Alongside the active play elements, there are calming spaces for quiet moments, reading books and talking about feelings, celebrating the importance of both movement and connection.

More than anything, The Family Nook is a true home from home, filled with fun, friendship and support for the whole family.
